Welcome to the whimsical world of “Wine and Wine Not!” While the title may hint at a wine centric theme, let’s shake things up and celebrate my three Favourite spirited beverages Red wine, Whiskey, and Tequila. Each of these drinks holds a special place in my heart and glass,

Let’s begin with red wine, a timeless classic that adds elegance to any occasion. Take Shiraz, for instance its bold and vibrant character brings excitement to every sip, making it a perfect companion for a hearty meal or a simple cheese platter.

Next, I enjoy Malbec, a charming varietal known for its deep colour and inviting profile. The moment you pour a glass, the enticing aromas of blackberry and plum promise a delightful experience that pairs beautifully with a juicy steak

Let’s also say "Bonjour" to Primitivo! This varietal boasts a rich, fruit-forward flavor profile with notes of cherry, blackberry, and a hint of spice. Its full-bodied character and smooth finish make it one of my favourites, especially when enjoyed alongside a comforting plate of pasta.

And we can’t forget about Grenache, the playful spirit of the wine world. With its bright red fruit flavours and approachable nature, Grenache is perfect for enhancing both the dining experience and the simple pleasure of a charming cheese board.

While I may not be a wine connoisseur, these selections truly resonate with me in the diverse world of red wines. The delightful experience of swirling a glass of red with my chosen company over a delicious meal or a simple cheese platter is simply irresistible.

There are also other smooth and peaty options to explore. For instance, Scotch whiskey, especially from the Islay region, offers a rich smokiness with earthy undertones, perfect for those who enjoy a more robust experience.

Whether you prefer a refreshing Highball with Japanese whiskey, a classic Old Fashioned, or a smoky whiskey neat, each variety brings its own sense of adventure and enjoyment.

Let’s talk about tequila—the vibrant spirit that knows how to kick off a celebration! While I sometimes enjoy it in a spicy margarita, there’s so much more to discover about this remarkable drink. One standout feature of 100% agave tequila is its health benefits it’s a natural probiotic that promotes gut health and aids digestion. This makes it not only a fun choice for me but also a healthier option I love when enjoying drinks with my lover during our playdates.

When it comes to my personal favorite, I’m drawn to tequilas with dark, woody, and oaky flavors, reminiscent of fine whisky. I absolutely adore pairing an authentic Mexican meal with a tequila flight. The vibrant flavors of tacos al pastor, sizzling fajitas, cheesy enchiladas, and savory mole sauce harmonize beautifully with the rich notes of tequila. Let’s not forget about quesadilla nachos—crispy tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, guacamole, and fresh salsa, making for a perfect appetizer to kick off the meal!
